Holy Ghost Hospital Church
From the opposite side of the street we have a good view of the façade of the Holy Ghost Hospital Church. The Holy Ghost, which stands out as a dove in the gable of the façade, is regarded as the symbol of charity. That is why, in the Middle Ages, many charitable foundations for the aged, the poor and the sick were consecrated to the Holy Ghost. Like the hospital that was adjacent to the church. And because the church was so close to the river Lech, it seemed appropriate for it to become the church of the Rafters' Guild.
